Q: Please help me to make a business decision..this is all so new to me?

i recently started my own permit expediting company which took me 3 years to accomplish. I was working for this company (where i gained all my knowledge)but was underpaid, overworked, you know the deal. so one day, I decided to go on my own. (every mothers dream) it has been 4 months now and business is steady but slightly overwhelming. I have someone (a female) who had wanted to go into business with me but due to the amount of **** I went through on the last job, I decided I owed this one to myself. Now I approach her to help me with a job and she turned it down. "I dont even know where that is, I dont think its worth my time, etc.." Than said " If I take the job, I expect the full income" Is she for real? I cant say i am surprised because I kind of suspected she would act like this..but how do I break it to her gently that she just isnt what the company needs? If I even pay her 50% of what the company makes, which is what I offered her, how is the company supposed to survive?

A: You can't go giving huge salaries to people. This woman seems like she would undermine all you have accomplished. Find someone else, there are many out there.
