Q: Healthcare and Taxes: why do liberals declare that facts surrounding healthcare taxes are "lies?"?

i posed a question earlier regarding new taxes which are being implemented to help pay for obamacare. these include raising the medicare tax, a surtax on investment income and taxing health benefits as "income." these are facts. they are straight from the bill and were included in multiple research reports circulating today... including those from Bank of America/Merrill Lynch and a Deloitte & Touche. so... instead of just acknowledging these facts and, if they believe in the bill, defending the new taxes, why do liberals just deny and call them lies? that is bizarre, irrational behavior. it's sort of like you catch a child writing on a wall... when he notices you coming he puts the crayone behind his back and says, "wasn't me." to a child, this makes sense... to a thinking adult, it's absurd. are liberals that childlike?

A: Well, you didn't get to talk to all of us, did you? Of course taxes will go up to help pay for this. Anyone who knows anything about this stuff would know taxes would be raised to help pay for this. Anyone with any SENSE would know that it wouldn't cost us nearly as much out of our pockets as private insurance does, though. This is why it's more appealing to those who are in the middle-class.
