A NEW INCOMEA New Income Q&A
Q: Questions about New Zealand...? I'm an x ray tech looking to move to New Zealand? How is working in healthcare there? Jobs available? Decent wages? Also, in looking at real estate, I didn't see laundry rooms. What does "home and income" mean? A: You could live where you want if you come here. Radiologists are in such demand it is not uncommon to have to close x-ray departments due to staff shorages. You will probably be expected to work around 60 hrs pr week. You will earn twice as much in most other countries. we treat our highly skilled so poorly in NZ that most go overseas. I hate to say it but it is true. Laundries in most homes built in last ten years are either in attached to house garage or incorporated in bathroom. This is mainly due to the lower cost and developers building most new homes trying to get maximum profit. I am in the building game and I would be very weary buying any home built within the last 15 years. Home and income usually means a house with an attached flat that can be rented out.
